BERKELEY NUCLEONICS CORPORATION 555-4C   Description / Specification:
BERKELEY NUCLEONICS CORPORATION 555-4C 4 Ch Digital Delay-Pulse Generator

The BNC 555-4C Digital Delay-Pulse Generator provides multi-channel 1 ns-resolution timing, delaying, gating, pulsing and syncing functions for a very low price without compromising quality. There are many practical modes of operation and features in addition to the traditional digital delay and pulse generator modes. Each channel provides both delays and widths – so a 4-channel Model 555 provides the same delay and width functionality of competitive 8-channel units. This Digital Delay/Pulse Generator provides precise delays and widths with 1 ns resolution for times up to 100 seconds. These pulses are synchronized to a common trigger or an internal trigger. This is particularly useful where several pulses or gates need to be delayed and timed with respect to each other or the common trigger. In addition to standard Digital Delay and Pulse Generator features, the Model 555 offers many unique modes. Specifications. Timing Delay: 0 to 99.999999999 seconds with 1 ns resolution. Timing Width: 10 ns to 99.999999999 seconds with 1 ns resolution. Accuracy: 1 ns + 0.0001 x time. RMS Jitter: 1 ns. Trig Delay: Ext. Trig to T0 < 250 ns. Trigger Modes: External Trigger, External Gate, Internal(continuous), single shot burst, duty cycle. External Trigger/Gate: Opto-isolated input circuitry. Rate: 0 to 1.0 MHz. Threshold: 3 V. Trigger Slope: Rising or falling edge, selectable. Gate: Active low or active high, selectable. Impedance: 1000 ohms. Internal Rep Rate Generator: Rate: 0.01 Hz to 1 MHz. Accuracy: 1 ns + 0.0001 x period. RMS Jitter: 1 ns. Burst Mode: 1 to 50,000 pulses. Option G: GPIB

Standard Calibration $535.00 *
*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the BERKELEY NUCLEONICS CORPORATION 555-4C. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Average Power
Average power means that the energy transfer rate is to be averaged over many periods of the lowest frequency involved. For a CW signal, the lowest frequency and highest frequency are the same, so average power and power are the same. For an amplitude modulated wave, the power must be averaged over many periods of the modulation component of the signal as well.

Dynamic range
Dynamic range the ratio of a specified maximum level of a parameter, such as power, current, voltage or frequency, to the minimum detectable value of that parameter.

Modulation
Modulation is the process by which the characteristic of one wave (the carrier) is modified by another.

Repeatability
Repeatability is the variation in a number of repeated measured quantities when measurement conditions are changed and restored. The value corresponds to half the spread between the minimum and maximum value measured.
