Keysight (Agilent) 4156A Precision Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer

The HP 4156A Precision Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer offers four built-in source/monitor units (SMUs), two voltage source units (VSUs), and two voltage monitor units (VMUs). It utilizes full kelvin remote sensing on each SMU. At any time, you can add the HP 41501A SMU and Pulse Generator Expander, which is supplied with a 0 V/1.6 A Ground Unit. The expander accepts two 100 mA / 100 V SMUs or one 1 A / 200 V SMU, and two specially synchronized 40 V / 200 mA / us pulse generators. The HP 4156A can perform staircase and pulse sweep measurement, and sampling (time domain) measurement using many measurement units, including units in the HP 41501A, without changing connections. Moreover you can easily perform stress-measure cycling test for reliability evaluation such as hot carrier injection and flash EEPROM test. Voltage Source Unit (VSU) Characteristics. Number of sources: 2. Maximum voltage: 20 V. Maximum current: 100 rnA. Voltage Monitor Unit (VMU) Characteristics. Number of monitors: 2. Voltage range: 0.2, 2, 20. Measurement resolution: Normal mode: 2 uV. Differential measurement mode: 1 uV. Synchronized stress/measure function, two high-voltage pulse generator units (± 40 V) . Time domain measurement: 60 us - variable intervals, up to 10,001 points.

Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Channel Bandwidth
Channel Bandwidth is the bandwidth over which power is measured. This is usually the bandwidth in which almost all of the power of a signal is contained.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.

Rise Time
Rise time refers to the time required for a signal to change from a specified low value to a specified high value, usually 10 and 90 percent of pulse-top amplitude (vertical display is linear power).
