We have recently acquired four new members to our staff as interns, three enrolled at The College of New Jersey and one from Mercer County College. We have been utilizing the students’ backgrounds in a variety of Engineering fields of which they are studying, including Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, and Managerial. Many skills obtained from previous experience have already been displayed through various projects, while excitement to continually participate in the learning process is expressed on both ends – being the interns and our full-time employees. Our goals are focused around strengthening the students’ knowledge about the field, education?and training in?the use of technical equipment, and expanding on personal skills and interests.

Featured are Peter Kostoulas and Sam Wong of Custom-Cal! This was an onsite service call to perform repair of an 86120B and a 86120C at the customers laboratory.

Aside from the repairs which saved downtime our staff was also able to satisfy the customers need to have all the optical test equipment calibrated. A sample of optical test equipment calibrated with-in the customers facility:

Job Description

Responsible for performing calibration, repair and refurbishing of Test & Measurement equipment on products such as Agilent / HP, Ando, Advantest, Anritsu, Tektronix and more. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of metrology and or repair experience and proficiency in troubleshooting. Must also be familiar with basic test equipment and standards. Familiarity with telecommunications, optical and RF equipment required.

Skills

Hand solder, troubleshooting to the component level. Knowledge of calibration and quality principles. MS Word and Excel.
