The Deviser E7000A/E7100A Cable and Antenna Analyzers makes life easier for wireless service providers and military and aerospace users.

e7000aHamilton, NJ ? August , 2013 ? Now available from Custom Calibration Solutions LLC, the ?E7000A Series Cable and Antenna Analyzers from Deviser Technology are high-speed, low-cost instruments designed to make life easier for anyone doing cable and antenna installations. This includes companies that install and maintain 2G/3G/4G cellular systems, aerospace and defense users, suppliers of public-safety radio systems, and broadcast station users.

There are two models in the series: the E7000A has a frequency range of 25 MHz – 4.4 GHz, while the E7100A has a frequency range of 25 MHz – 6.1 GHz. Both models compare favorably with other popular cable and antenna analyzers on the market, and depending on your application, they can replace the Anritsu S331A, Anritsu S331B, Anritsu S331D, Anritsu S331D, and Anritsu S331E Cable and Antenna Analyzers. You may also be able to use the E7000A/E7100A Series to replace the Bird SA-2500EX and Bird SA-6000EX Site Analzyers, the Wiltron S113 SiteMaster Network Analyzer, the Anritsu S235 SiteMaster Cable and Antenna Analyzer, ?the Anritsu S361E Cable and Antenna Analyzer, the JDSU (Gencomm) GC724B Cable and Antenna Analyzer, and the JDSU (Gencomm) GC7106A RF Analyzer.

Key capabilities and features of the E7000A/E7100A Series?includes:

  • Return/loss VSWR measurements. With a return loss dynamic range of >42 dB, the E7000A/E7100A series verifies that your cable and antenna system meet performance specifications.
  • Cable loss measurements.
  • Distance-to-fault measurements. The E7000A/E7100A series displays cable characteristic (VSWR and RETURN LOSS) versus distance to allow you to quickly find cable faults.
  • Fast sweep speed. The 1.5 ms sweep time speeds field measurements.
  • Large internal memory. With more than 1 Gbyte of internal memory, the E7000A/E7100A can save more than 2,000 trace files.
  • Flexible calibration modes.
  • Ethernet and USB ports. The 10M/100M Ethernet port supports the ?standard SCPI program interface, which allows users to develop custom test programs. The two USB ports make it easy to import and export files between the instrument and USB disk.
  • Long battery life. The optional lithium-ion battery pack provides more than six hours of portable operation.
  • Impact-resistant, dust-resistant, and splash-resistant case and low weight (under two kg) make the E7000A/E7100A series perfect for field use.

There are also options that make the E7000A/E7100A Series even more useful:

  • The E7000A-SA turns the E7000A/E7100A Series into a spectrum analyzer with a 9 kHz – 3 GHz frequency range.
  • The USB inline power meter option allow users to make RMS measurements for both CW and digital modulated signals. It has a ?300 MHz – 4 GHz frequency range and 0.2~150W average power range.
  • The transmission option allows users to make multiplexer insertion loss and antenna-antenna isolation measurements
  • The GPS receiver option provides location (longitude, latitude, altitude) and Universal Time (UT) information.

Custom-Cal offering a great deal on Yamasaki TPU Optical Power Meters!!

TPU

Purchase four of these new intelligent optical power meters from Custom-Cal, and we will give you one free!

The new, affordable Yamasaki TPU Series Intelligent Power Meters are going like hotcakes! It’s not hard to see why.

The TPU’s InGaAs detector?is pre-calibrated for 850 nm and 1300 nm multimode signals and 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm,?and 1625 nm singlemode wavelengths. In addition, the TPU supports Wave ID,?which allows the power meter to automatically detect the incoming wavelength transmitted by the TLU series Laser Source and adjust itself accordingly.

The TPU can also identify?270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz tones to assist technicians in fault finding and fiber location. The internal memory holds up to 1000 results, which users can download via?the USB port to a PC with the included reporting software.

The Yamasaki Optical Technologies TPU Series Intelligent Power Meters?really are a great deal, and if you buy four of them, we’ll give you one free. Call or email me,?Jon Winchester, for more info. jwinchester@custom-cal.com or 541.245.3992.

Fiber optic fushion splicers; NIST calibration or not?

Is the theory that we can verify the manufacturer’s claims of insertion loss on a fiber splice with OPM’s and OTDR’s valid?

I am looking for splicer manufacturers/distributors, to participate in a series of tests that would validate the theory, that a NIST traceable calibration/verification on the Insertion loss of a fiber splice is sound. If you have a demo unit, and want to be included, email me or call… Jon Winchester, jwinchester@custom-cal.com 541.245.3992
