GIGATRONICS 8541C Single Input Universal Power Meter

The Giga-tronics 8541C Single Input Universal Power Meter combines accuracy, speed, range and measurement capabilities unavailable from any other power meter. Built-in features such as power sweep calibration and frequency calibration provide an unequalled degree of measurement accuracy. The meter can measure the CW, peak and true average power of the complex modulated signals used in EW, radar, and communications systems. The 8541C can automatically measure the average power of pulse modulated signals or pulse signals that are amplitude modulated during the pulse β€˜on’ period β€” such as TDMA (time division multiple access) signals. Achieve 500 readings per second over GPIB. Or use our exclusive fast buffered mode to further reduce processor overhead and capture up to 4,000 readings per second in CW mode. Specifications. Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 40 GHz (Depending on sensor). Power Range: -70 dBm to +47 dBm (100 pW to 50 Watt) (Depending on sensor). Display Resolution: User selectable from 1 dB to 0.001 dB in Log mode, and from 1 to 4 digits of display resolution in Linear mode. Averaging: User selectable, auto-averaging or manual from 1-512 readings. Analog Output (BNC): Provides an output voltage of 0 to 10V. Adjacent Channel Power
Adjacent Channel Power is the power from a modulated communications channel that leaks into an adjacent channel. This leakage is usually specified as a ratio to the power in the main channel, but is sometimes an absolute power.

Fall Time
Fall time is the time required for the amplitude of a pulse to decrease (fall) from a specified value (usually 90 percent of the peak value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot) to another specified value (usually 10 percent of the maximum value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot).

Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.
