   INSTEK GPS-3030D   Description / Specification:
INSTEK GPS-3030D 30V 3A Single Output DC Power Supply

The GW Instek GPS-3030D is a single output, 90W, linear DC power supply. It features overload and reverse polarity protection as well as high regulation and low ripple / noise that are maintained at 0.01% and < 1mVrms, respectively. Continuous or dynamic internal load selection accommodates applications such as pulsed current. Remote control terminals offer programming and operation from an external device. Specifications. DC Output: 0 to 30 V / 0 to 3 A. Constant Voltage (CV) Operation Line Regulation: <= 0.01% + 3 mV. CV Operation Load Regulation: <= 0.01% + 3 mV (rating current < 3 A). CV Ripple & Noise: <= 0.5 mVrms 5 Hz to 1 MHz. CV Recovery Time: < 100 µS ( 50% load change, minimum load 0.5A ). CV Output range: 0 to rating voltage continuously adjustable. Constant Current (CC) Operation Line Regulation: <= 0.2% + 3 mA. CC Operation Load Regulation: <= 0.2% + 3 mA. CC Ripple Current: <=3 mArms. CC Output Range: 0 to rating current continuously adjustable (Hi/Lo range switchable). Meter 3 1/2 digits 0.5" LED display. Meter Accuracy: ±( 0.5% of rdg + 2 digits ).

dBc
dBc (decibels relative to the carrier) is the power ratio of a signal to a carrier signal, expressed in decibels. If the dBc figure is positive, then the relative signal strength is greater than the carrier signal strength. If the dBc figure is negative, then the relative signal strength is less than carrier signal strength.

Load Regulation
Load regulation is the capability to maintain a constant voltage (or current) level on the output channel of a power supply despite changes in the supply's load (such as a change in resistance value connected across the supply output).

Power Linearity
When changing the power level and measuring the differences (in dB) between actual and displayed power levels, the power linearity is ± half the span (in dB) between the maximum and the minimum value of all differences.

Settling Time
Settling time of an output device is the time elapsed from the application of an ideal instantaneous step input to the time at which the amplifier output has entered and remained within a specified error band, usually symmetrical about the final value.
