KEITHLEY 6517A Electrometer / High-Resistance Meter

The Keithley 6517 A Electrometer/High Resistance Meter offers accuracy and sensitivity specifications no other electrometer can match, so it's ideal for use in physics, optics, and materials science. Its extremely low voltage burden makes it particularly appropriate for solar cell work. With speeds of up to 125 readings per second and a built-in 1kV source, the 6517 A is a popular choice for quality control, product engineering, and production test applications involving leakage, breakdown, and high-resistance testing. Its voltage reversal method is particularly useful for making volume and surface resistivity measurements on nonconductive materials. Specifications. Measures resistances up to 10^17 Ohms. 100aA to 20mA current measurement range. <20µV burden voltage on lowest current ranges. 200TOhms input impedance. <2fA bias current. Up to 125 readings/s. 0.75fA p-p noise. Built-in ±1kV voltage source

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the KEITHLEY 6517A. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
