   ROHDE & SCHWARZ NRV-Z15 (1081.2305.02)   Description / Specification:
ROHDE & SCHWARZ NRV-Z15 40 GHz High-Sensitivity Diode Sensor

The Rohde & Schwarz NRV-Z15 is a high-sensitivity power sensor based on zero-bias Schottky diodes, this opens up the power range below 1 µW down to the physical limit of 100 pW (-70 dBm). In the range, from -70 dBm to -20 dBm, it's behaviour is much the same as that of thermal sensors, i.e. precise measurement of the average power of modulated signals, RMS weighting of harmonics and linearity independent of temperature and frequency. Specifications. Frequency range: 50 MHz to 40 GHz. Power measurement range, max. power: 400 pW to 20 mW, 100 mW (AVG), 100 mW (PK). Max. SWR (reflection coefficient): 0.05 GHz to 4 GHz 1.15 (0.070), >4 GHz to 40 GHz 1.37 (0.157). Zero offset: ±200 pW. Display noise: 80 pW. Linearity uncertainty: 0.04 dB (1.0%). Power coefficient: 0. Connector: Type K (2.92 mm), 50 ohm.

Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

dBc
dBc (decibels relative to the carrier) is the power ratio of a signal to a carrier signal, expressed in decibels. If the dBc figure is positive, then the relative signal strength is greater than the carrier signal strength. If the dBc figure is negative, then the relative signal strength is less than carrier signal strength.

Noise Density
Noise Density is the amount of noise within a defined bandwidth, usually normalized to 1 Hz.

Spurious Signals
Spurious signals are undesired signals. They can be considered in two classes. They can be stationary; their frequency and amplitude do not change significantly, or non-stationary, where the frequency and/or amplitude change significantly over short time periods.
