TEKTRONIX 7B15 Horizontal Time Base Plug-in

Tektronix 7B15 Horizontal time base designed for use with the 7104 Mainframe to provide optimum bandwidth/ sweep-speed compatibility, but may also be used with the 7700, 7800, and 7900 Series Mainframes. Features: Delta Time Measurements with Crt Readout. Delay Time Measurements with Crt Readout. Vertical Trace Separation between Two Delayed Sweeps. 0.2 ns/div to 0.5/div Calibrated Time Bases. Triggering to 1 GHz. Variable Trigger Holdoff. Peak-to-Peak Auto Triggering. Sweep Rates - 0.2 s/div to 2 ns /div in 25 steps. 10X MAGNIFIER extends fastest calibrated sweep rate to 0.2 ns/div. The uncalibrated VARIABLE is continuous to at least 2.5 times the calibrated sweep. Trace Separation Range - Funclional only in Delta Delay Time mode when alternating or chopping between time-base units. The second delayed sweep display can be vertically positioned at least 3 div below the first delayed sweep display. Delay Time Range - 0.2 or less to at least 9.0 times TIME/ DIV setting. Jitter - 0.02% of TIME/ DIV setting up through 50 us/ div. 0.03% of TIME/ DIV setting plus 0.1 ns for sweep speeds of 20 us/div through 100 ns /div. External Trigger Input - Max input voltage is 250 V (dc + peak ac) for 1 M-Ohm input 1 W average for 50 ohm input. Input R and C for 1 M-Ohm Input is 1 M-Ohm within 5%, 20 pf within 10%; for 50 ohm input, 50 ohm within 2%. Level range is at least ± 3.5 V in EXT + 1.

dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
