   MOUNTZ TBIH   Description / Specification:
MOUNTZ TBIH Break-Over Torque Wrench Series

The Mountz TBIH torque wrench series is ideal for applications with limited space. The flexible preset wrench can be used for a variety of applications with the ability to change head configurations like open, box, flare, hex key or a ratchet head. The slim wrench features a tamper-proof internal adjustment. When the TBIH torque wrench achieves torque, the head breaks-over signaling to the operator to stop applying torque to the fastener or bolt. Features. Torque ranges from 25 ozf.in to 50 lbf.in. The break-over mechanism minimizes shock to assemblies. Tamper-proof internal adjustment. No external adjustment scale - must be preset using a torque analyzer. "Breaks-over" when preset torque is reached eliminating overtorquing. Six different colored aluminum handles allow for color-coding of specific torque values in production areas. Small and lightweight. Ideal for use in restricted spaces. Interchangeable heads are manufactured with a common centerline so the torque setting remains the same when head sizes are changed.

Balance
A balance is a measuring instrument for determining the weight or mass of an object. In its traditional form, it consists of a pivoted horizontal lever with arms of equal length arms.

in-lb
Inch-pound is a measurment of torque expressed as a force (pound) multiplied by (i.e. “times”) a distance (inch). It is the amount of force applied in the direction of turning by one pound on a one inch lever. To convert Inch-pound to Inch-ounce multiply by 16. To convert Inch-pound to Foot-pound (ft-lb) multiply by 0.0833.

Snap Gauge
A snap gauge has four anvils or jaws, the first one or pair (outermost) are set using the upper limit (tolerance) of the part and the inner set adjusted to the lower limit of the part. A correctly machined part will pass the first set of jaws and stop at the second, the end of test.
