The B&K Precision 4012A 5 MHz Sweep Function Generator is for general bench and lab use with an ideal mixture of features and sweep function. It features Sine, Square, Triangle, Pulse & Ramp output, Variable duty cycle, Variable DC offset and a 4 digit LED display. Specifications. Frequency Range: 0.5 Hz to 5 MHz in 7 ranges. Waveforms: Sine, Square, Triangle, ±Pulse, ±Ramp. Resolution: 4 digits. Tuning Range: 10:1. Fine: ±5% of coarse setting. Variable Duty Cycle: 15:85:15 cont variable. Operating Modes: Normal, Sweep, VCG. Output Impedance: 50 ohm ±10%. Level: 20 V p-p Open circuit, 10V p-p into 50 ohm. Amplitude: Variable, 20 dB range typical. Attenuation: -20 dB ±1dB. Line regulation is the capability to maintain a constant output voltage level on the output channel of a power supply despite changes to the input voltage level.

Peak Envelope Power
Peak envelope power is the maximum value of the envelope power. Envelope power is measured by making the averaging time much less than 1/fm where fm is the maximum frequency component of the modulation waveform. The averaging time is therefore limited on both ends: (1) it must be small compared to the period of the highest modulation frequency, and (2) it must be large enough to be many RF cycles long.
