   ROHDE & SCHWARZ NRV-Z3 (828.3418.02)   Description / Specification:
ROHDE & SCHWARZ NRV-Z3 2.5 GHz High-Sensitivity Diode Sensor

The Rohde & Schwarz NRV-Z3 is a high-sensitivity power sensor based on zero-bias Schottky diodes, this opens up the power range below 1 µW down to the physical limit of 100 pW (-70 dBm). In the range, from -70 dBm to -20 dBm, it's behaviour is much the same as that of thermal sensors, i.e. precise measurement of the average power of modulated signals, RMS weighting of harmonics and linearity independent of temperature and frequency. Specifications. Frequency range: 1 MHz to 2.5 GHz. Power measurement range, max. power: 100 pW to 13 mW, 70 mW (AVG), 70 mW (PK). Max. SWR (reflection coefficient): 1 MHz to 1 GHz 1.11 (0.05), >1 GHz to 2.5 GHz 1.20 (0.09). Zero offset: ±40 pW. Display noise: 16 pW. Linearity uncertainty: 0.03 dB (0.7%). Power coefficient: 0. Connector: Type N, 75 ohm.

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the ROHDE & SCHWARZ NRV-Z3. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Frequency Span
Frequency Span specifies the range between the start and stop frequencies, also referred to as bandwidth

Peak Envelope Power
Peak envelope power is the maximum value of the envelope power. Envelope power is measured by making the averaging time much less than 1/fm where fm is the maximum frequency component of the modulation waveform. The averaging time is therefore limited on both ends: (1) it must be small compared to the period of the highest modulation frequency, and (2) it must be large enough to be many RF cycles long.
