   KAELUS IQA-1800B   Description / Specification:
KAELUS IQA-1800B DCS1800 Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Analyzer

The Kaelus iQA-1800B DCS1800 Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Analyzer is a feature rich, high power PIM test solution. This field proven analyzer enables network operators to improve site performance by finding and eliminating sources of passive intermodulation at the cell site. The design includes an integrated panel PC with intuitive touch screen interface for performing tests and generating site reports. Features. Complete frequency agility in steps of 50 kHz to any frequency in the transmit band. Automatic internal calculation of IM product frequencies for receiver tuning. Onboard automatic report generation and exportation in PDF format. All electronic systems are monitored and alarmed. This ensures that each measurement made is faultless. The test set is capable of operating continuously into a poor VSWR load such as an open or short circuit.

Accuracy
Accuracy is the degree of closeness of measurements of a quantity to that quantity's actual (true) value.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Receiver Sensitivity
Receiver Sensitivity is the optical power required by a receiver for low error signal transmission. In the case of digital signal transmission, the mean optical power is usually quoted in Watts or dBm (decibels referred to 1 milliwatt).
