   EXFO IQ-1102X   Description / Specification:
EXFO IQ-1102X Single Channel Optical Power Meter Module

The Exfo IQ-1102X Benchtop Optical Power Meter Module delivers accurate power measurements over a wide dynamic range along with high resolution and excellent linearity. Choose them for automatically measuring discrete values such as insertion loss or, alternately, for continuous monitoring and data acquisition. These stand-alone power meters provide exceptional performance, flexibility, user-friendliness and extensive integration capabilities. EXFO’s IQ-1102X single-channel power meter module series is part of the IQ solution. The IQ-203 mainframe and IQ-206 expansion units support up to 27 modules. For a virtually unlimited number of channels, link two or more systems together through the GPIB interface.. The Exfo IQ-1102X Power Meter offers ±0.015 dB linearity with a ±5 % absolute uncertainty and a 0.001 dB power resolution. Whether you are measuring absolute or relative power levels, count on efficient, highly accurate measurements. With its fast stabilization time and high sampling rate, the IQ-1102X Power Meter is ideal for system monitoring. To start your data acquisition and take full advantage of the high sampling rates, synchronize acquisitions using the two available trigger types. The sensitivity of the detector is -75 dBm. Bit Error Ratio (BER)
Bit Error Ratio (BER) is the ratio of errors caused by the number of bits in a data stream that have been altered due to noise, interference, distoriton or bit synchronization errors.

Flatness
Variation of insertion loss on the passband of an optical device.

Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL)
Polarization Dependent Loss is the difference between the maximum and minimum values of loss due to the variation of the polarization states of light propagating through a device. PDL is expressed in decibels. Calculated by; PDL = 10 log10 (Ep/Es), where EP and ES are the measured diffraction efficiencies for P- and S-plane polarized incident light, respectively.

Return Loss (RL)
Return Loss (RL) is the ratio of the incident power to the reflected power expressed in dB. RL = 10log (Pin/Pback)

Wavelength Resolution
Wavelength Resolution is the smallest possible displayed wavelength increment/decrement.
