STANFORD RESEARCH SYSTEMS LDC502 2000 mA Laser Diode Controller

The SRS LDC502 Laser Diode Controller is an ideal instrument for controlling the current and temperature of your laser diodes. It has the performance and features you expect from instruments costing twice as much. The LDC502 has up to 2 A of output current with less than 3.5 µA of rms noise. The SRS LDC502 is a 36 W high-precision temperature controller with standard computer interfaces, including Ethernet. It has multiple laser diode protection features, including slow start turn-on, adjustable current limits, and adjustable compliance voltage. Specifications. Current Source Range: 0 to 2 A, 0 to 1 A. Setpoint resolution: 0.1 mA. Accuracy: ±0.02 % of full scale. Output impedance: >1 M-ohm (DC). Thermal Stability: <10 ppm/°C. Noise (10 Hz to 1 MHz): 25 µA rms (high range / high BW), 5.0 µA rms (high range / low BW), 10 µA rms (low range / high BW), 3.5 µA rms (low range / low BW). Compliance voltage Range: 0 to 10 V, programmable. Resolution: 10 mV. Accuracy: 0.2 V. Monitor Photodiode Bias voltage: 0 to 5 V, programmable. PD current range: 0 to 10,000 µA. Chirp

Sidemode Suppression Ratio is the ratio of average signal power to the optical power of the highest sidemode within a distance from 0.1 to 6 GHz to the signal’s optical frequency, expressed in dB.

Wavelength Stability
Wavelength Stability is the change of wavelength during given time span, expressed as ± half the span between the maximum and the minimum of all actual wavelengths.
