ASSOCIATED RESEARCH 8106 (OMNIA 6)   Description / Specification:
ASSOCIATED RESEARCH 8106 5KV AC/DC Hipot / IR / Ground Bond / Continuity Tester

The Associated Research 8106 OMNIA 6 is a 5 kVAC/DC Hipot tester with a built-in Insulation Resistance, Ground Bond, Run Test, Line Leakage and Continuity Tester. The AR 8106 uses four-wire measurement technique to factor out test lead resistance, making measurements more accurate. The Milliohm Offset features allows the operator to factor out additional lead and fixture resistance. It has patented SmartGFI™ which disables the instrument’s output voltage in less than 1 millisecond if excessive leakage to ground is detected. If enabled, SmartGFI™ automatically detects if the DUT is floating or grounding and turns ON or OFF accordingly. The OMNIA simultaneously monitors real and total current in AC Hipot mode on the same screen.Specifications. Dielectric Withstand Test Mode Output Rating: 5000 V @ 40 mA AC, 5000 V @ 20 mA DC. Averaging
Averaging is a mathematical process to reduce the variation in a measurement by summing the data points from multiple measurements and dividing by the number of points summed.

Fall Time
Fall time is the time required for the amplitude of a pulse to decrease (fall) from a specified value (usually 90 percent of the peak value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot) to another specified value (usually 10 percent of the maximum value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot).

Noise Density
Noise Density is the amount of noise within a defined bandwidth, usually normalized to 1 Hz.

Resolution Bandwidth (RBW)
Resolution Bandwidth (RBW) is the minimum bandwidth over which you can separate two signals and still see them.
