BK PRECISION 1673 Triple Output DC Power Supply

The B&K Precision 1673 is a quad display triple output DC power supply that provide two variable outputs and one fixed output. The variable outputs can work independently, in series tracking, or parallel mode. Conveniently adjust voltage and current with independent front panel knobs and bright quad LED display. Accessible through a simple push/pull switch, the 1673’s unique series and parallel tracking features let you easily double the output voltage or current. For achieving even higher voltages or current, multiple units can be connected in series or parallel. The 1673 is designed to operate in a constant voltage or a constant current mode with automatic crossover, allowing continuous transition from constant current to constant voltage modes in response to load condition changes. Specifications. Number of Outputs: Three (2 variable, 1 fixed). Range: 0 to 32 VDC / 0 to 6 A (variable), and 5 V / 3 A (fixed). Constant Voltage (CV) Mode Line Regulation: < 0.01% + 5 mV. CV Mode Load Regulation: < 0.55% + 10 mV. CV Ripple & Noise: <1 mVrms (independent/master), <4 mVrms (slave). Constant Current (CC) Mode Line Regulation: <0.2% + 5 mA. Constant Current (CC) Mode Load Regulation: <0.4% + 8 mA. CC Ripple & Noise: <3 mArms. Slave Tracking Error: < 0.5%+3 digits of the master. 5V Fixed Output Voltage Accuracy: 5 V ± 0.25 V. Display Voltage: 3 digits 0.56” Green LED. Display Current: 3 digits 0.56” Red LED. Display Accuracy: <0.1% + 3 digits.

Channel Bandwidth
Channel Bandwidth is the bandwidth over which power is measured. This is usually the bandwidth in which almost all of the power of a signal is contained.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.

Rise Time
Rise time refers to the time required for a signal to change from a specified low value to a specified high value, usually 10 and 90 percent of pulse-top amplitude (vertical display is linear power).
