DESCO 19493 Ionization Test Kit

The Desco 19493 Ionization Test Kit allows the 19492 Digital Static Field Meter to be used to measure the offset voltage (balance) and charge decay of ionization equipment. The Test Kit also includes a Charger used to place a ±1000V charge on the 19498 Conductive Plate, making it possible to also measure the discharge times of air ionization equipment per ANSI/ESD SP3.3 Periodic Verification of Air Ionizers. The 19493 Ionization Test Kit includes the 19492 Digital Static Field Meter, providing a highly portable and cost effective means of verifying the performance of a wide variety of ionization equipment. The analog output jack labeled “OUT” on the face of the Meter accepts a standard 2.5 mm monaural phone plug and is provided so the output of the Digital Static Field Meter may be connected to an oscilloscope, strip chart recorder, external meter or other device. Specifications. Measurement Range (switch selectable): 0 to ±1.99 kV / inch (Low Range), 0 to ±19.99 kV / inch (High Range). Measurement Accuracy Voltage Monitor Output: > ±5% of reading ±10 mV. Measurement Accuracy Voltage Display: > ±5% of reading ±2 counts. Measurement Stability: ±10 counts.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
