DESCO 19228 Multi-Mount Continuous Monitor

The Desco 19228 Multi-Mount Continuous Monitor continuously monitors the integrity of one operator. This monitor will provide virtually instantaneous notification of static control equipment failures, eliminating the need of periodic testing and costly record keeping. The Multi-Mount Continuous Monitor is a real time instrument that ensures that critical ESD generators in a sensitive area are effectively grounded. The instant an operator’s wrist strap or cord fails, the monitor will issue audible and visual (LEDs) alarms alerting the user and supervisor of the problem. Specifications. Test range of monitored circuit: 500 K - 10 M ohms. Operating Voltage: 24 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Worksurface Range: 10 megohms. Wrist strap open circuit voltage: 1.2 volts peak to peak @ 1-2 MicroAmps. Mat test open circuit voltage: 5 to 7.5 volts. Response time to alarm: <50 ms.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
