   INSTEK GPT-9901A   Description / Specification:
INSTEK GPT-9901A 5KV AC Withstanding Voltage Tester

The GW Instek GPT- 9901A is capable of performing AC withstanding tests needed for the compliance of the safety standards such as IEC, EN, UL, CSA, GB, JIS and other safety regulations. The output voltage is automatically cut off (within 150µs) upon the detection of an abnormal output voltage or a trip of current limits during test to protect the operator from hazardous injury. It automatically discharges the DUT after each test to eliminate excessive voltage that remains on the DUT.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
