   3M 963E   Description / Specification:
3M 963E Benchtop Air Ionizer

The 3M 963E Benchtop Air Ionizer eliminates the build up of potentially damaging static charges. It is capable of reducing a static charge of 1000V to 100V in less than one second, at a one foot distance. In addition, the powerful fan allows the generated ions to be carried at high speed for long distances. At a distance of three feet, the discharge time only increases to approximately five seconds. The two-speed fan in the 3M Benchtop Air Ionizer 963E is extremely quiet at low speed.

Specifications.

Air Velocity:
  low speed - 100 fpm (0.5 m/s),
  high speed - 300 fpm (1.5 m/s).
Static Discharge Time (When tested according to ANSI/ESD S3.1-1991):
1' (30 cm) < 1 second at high fan speed,
3' (91 cm) < 5 second at high fan speed.

Standard Calibration $130.00 *
*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the 3M 963E. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
