The Ando AQ8201-13 ECL Module (Light Source) is for use with the AQ8201 series, Optical Test and Measurement System. Specifications. Available wavelength range: 1460 to 1580 nm. Wavelength setting range: 10 pm. Wavelength accuracy: within ±0.2 nm (1520 to 1750 nm). Wavelength repeatability: ± 50 pm (typ.). Wavelength setting time: 3 seconds (typ.). Spectral width Coherence control ON: 100 MHz (typ.). Spectral width Coherence control OFF: 5 MHz (typ.). Optical output level: 1460 to 1580 nm +6 dBm or more, 1520 to 1580nm + 10 dBm or more. SMSR: 45dB or more. Output level stability: 15 minutes Within ±0.005 dB, 1 hour Within ±0.01 dB. Wavelength stability: 15 minutes Within ±0.005 nm, 24 hours Within ±0.01nm (typ.). Polarization Dependent Loss is the difference between the maximum and minimum values of loss due to the variation of the polarization states of light propagating through a device. PDL is expressed in decibels. Calculated by; PDL = 10 log10 (Ep/Es), where EP and ES are the measured diffraction efficiencies for P- and S-plane polarized incident light, respectively.

Return Loss (RL)
Return Loss (RL) is the ratio of the incident power to the reflected power expressed in dB. RL = 10log (Pin/Pback)

Wavelength Resolution
Wavelength Resolution is the smallest possible displayed wavelength increment/decrement.
