ASSOCIATED RESEARCH 3570D 5KV AC, 6KV DC Hypot II Dielectric Withstand / IR Tester

The Associated Research 3565D Hypot II Dielectric Withstand tester has no load setup of trip current and output voltage. The Hypot II includes rear panel remote control connections to make it easier to build into an automated system. As an option, rear panel high voltage and return terminals can also be provided. Specifications. Output Rating AC: 0-5000V, 2V/step, 12 mA. Output Rating DC: 0-6000V, 2V/step, 5 mA. Output Regulation: ± (1% of output + 5V). Voltage Setting: 0V-Max output rating, 10 volts/steps. Voltage Setting Accuracy: ± (2% of Setting + 5V). Output Frequency: DC and 50/60 Hz selectable. Waveform: Sine wave, Distortion: < 2% THD. Ripple: < 5% at 6 KV DC/5 mA (DC mode only). Dwell Time Setting: 0 and 0.2-999.9 second, 0.1 second/steps, "0" for continuous running. Ramp Time Setting: 0.2 - 999.9 seconds in 0.1 second increments, 0 ramp setting = 0.1 seconds fixed. Voltmeter (3 digits) Range: AC 0.00 - 5.00 KV, DC 0.00 - 6.00 KV. Ammeter (4 digits) Range: AC 0.10 - 12.00 mA, DC 0.02 - 5.00 mA. Ground Continuity Check: Current: DC 0.1A ± 0.01A, fixed, Max. ground resistance: 1 ohm ± 0.1 ohm, fixed. Low Current Sense: 0.00 - 12.00 mA AC, 0.00 - 5.00 mA DC. Low Current Sense Accuracy: ± (2% of setting + 0.02 mA). IR Test Range: 1M-ohm to 1000 M-ohm. IR Test Accuracy: ± (3% of reading + 2 counts) > 500 Volts, ± (7% of reading + 2 counts) < 500 Volts. IR Test Voltage: 100 - 1000VDC in 10V step. IR Delay Range: 0, 0.5 - 999.9 seconds (0=constant). dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
