BK PRECISION 885 10 kHz Handheld Synthesized In-Circuit LCR/ESR Meter

The B&K Precision 885 synthesized in-circuit LCR/ESR meter has a wide range of test frequencies up to 10 kHz with many measurement parameters including Z, L, C, DCR, ESR, D, Q, and Ø as well. The 885 is designed for both component evaluation on the production line and fundamental impedance testing for benchtop applications. With a built-in direct test fixture, you can test the lead components very easily. The optional 4-wire test clip can give a convenient connection to larger components and assemblies with the accuracy of 4-wire testing. Specifications: Test Frequencies: 100 Hz, 120 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz. Frequency Accuracy: ± 0.1%. Test Levels: 1 Vrms, 0.25 Vrms, 0.05 Vrms, 1 Vdc (for DCR). Level Accuracy: ± 5%. Output Impedance: 100 ohm, ± 5%. Impedance (Z) (Minimum 0.1 ohm to 20 M-ohm) Frequency Range: DCR, 100 Hz, 120 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz . Capacitance (C) Frequency Range (min to max): 100 Hz (15.91 mF to 79.57 pF), 120 Hz (13.26 mF to 66.31 pF), 1 kHz (1.591 mF to 7.957 pF), 10 kHz (159.1 µF to 0.795 pF). Inductance (L) Frequency Range (min to max): 100 Hz (31.83 kH to 159.1 µH), 120 Hz (26.52 kH to 132.6 µHF), 1 kHz (31.83 kH to 15.91 µH), 10 kHz (318.3 H to 1.591 µH). Dual LCD display.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
