EXFO IQ-1103 Single Channel Optical Power Meter Module

The Exfo IQ-1103 Benchtop Optical Power Meter Module delivers accurate power measurements over a wide dynamic range along with high resolution and excellent linearity. Choose them for automatically measuring discrete values such as insertion loss or, alternately, for continuous monitoring and data acquisition. These stand-alone power meters provide exceptional performance, flexibility, user-friendliness and extensive integration capabilities. EXFO’s IQ-1103 single-channel power meter module series is part of the IQ solution. The IQ-203 mainframe and IQ-206 expansion units support up to 27 modules. For a virtually unlimited number of channels, link two or more systems together through the GPIB interface.. The Exfo IQ-1103 Power Meter offers ±0.015 dB linearity with a ±5 % absolute uncertainty and a 0.001 dB power resolution. Whether you are measuring absolute or relative power levels, count on efficient, highly accurate measurements. With its fast stabilization time and high sampling rate, the IQ-1103 Power Meter is ideal for system monitoring. To start your data acquisition and take full advantage of the high sampling rates, synchronize acquisitions using the two available trigger types. The sensitivity of the detector is -75 dBm. Chromatic Dispersion

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD)
Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) is a form of modal dispersion where two different polarizations of light in a waveguide, which normally travel at the same speed, travel at different speeds due to random imperfections and asymmetries, causing random spreading of optical pulses. It is he difference between the maximum and minimum values of loss typically measured in ps/km^1/2.
