FLUKE 21 II   Description / Specification:
FLUKE 21 II Handheld Analog / Digital Multimeter

The Fluke 21 II Analog/Digital Multimeter provides a wealth of automatic features, measurement capabilities, and accuracy ranges. Features. 31-Segment analog bar graph, allowing greater flexibility than traditional 3.5 digit DMMs. Single pushbutton and rotary dial to select all functions. Automatic Touch Hold captures stable readings. Auto and manual ranging and automatic polarity selection. Diode test/audible continuity beeper enables fast continuity checks and audible notification of voltage drops of less than 0.7 volts. Sleep Mode to preserve battery life. All ranges for 21 II Multimeter is protected against overloads, including a fused 10 amp range for each model. All voltage inputs are protected to recover or fail safe from power line-surges from major feeders, as defined in IEEE-587-1980, Category B, which includes simulated lightning and load switching transient pulses up to 6 kV superimposed on 660V power lines. Digital Display / Counts 3200. Specifications. VDC Range: 320 mV to 1000 V. VDC Best Accuracy: ±(0.4% + 1). VDC Resolution: 1 mV. VAC Range: 3.2 to 750 V. VAC Best Accuracy: ±(2% + 2). VAC Resolution: 1.0 mV. ADC Range: 32 mA to 10 A. ADC Best Accuracy: ±(1.5% + 2). ADC Resolution: 0.01 mA. AAC Range: 32 mA to 10 A. AAC Best Accuracy: ±(2.5% + 2). AAC Resolution: 0.01 mA. Resistance Range: 320 ohm to 32 M-ohm. Resistance Best Accuracy: ±(0.5% + 1). Resistance Resolution: 0.1 ohm.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
