The HP 8447A Preamp's performance qualifies it for a number of Synthesized RF Signal Generator uses: to improve the sensitivity of counters, spectrum analyzers, RF voltmeters. EMI meters, power meters and other devices without distortion or degradation of amplitude accuracy: to increase the maximum power avail able from a signal generator or sweeper. Specifications. Frequency Range: 0.1 - 400 MHz. Typical 3 dB Bandwidth: 50 kHz - 700 MHz. Gain (Mean): 20 dB ±0.5 dB at 10 MHz. Gain Flatness Across Full Frequency Range: ±0.5 dB. Noise Figure: <5 dB. Output Power for 1 dB Gain Compression: >+7dBm. Harmonic Distortion: -35 dB for 0 dBm output. Typical Output for < -60 dB Harmonic Distortion: -25 dBm. VSWR: < 1.7. Impedance: 50 ohm. Reverse Isolation: > 30 dB. Maximum DC Voltage Input: ±10 V. Options.
