Keysight (Agilent) E3620A Dual Output DC Power Supply

The Agilent E3620A Dual Output DC Power Supply has 0.01% load and line regulation which keeps the outputs steady with changes of the power line and load. The low normal-mode noise specification of 350 µV rms assures clean power for precision circuitry, and the low common-mode current specification of 1 µA rms minimizes line frequency current injection. It has separate digital panel meters to monitor both the voltage and current of any output simultaneously. An LED indicator for each output lets the user know when any supply is overloaded. All the outputs are protected against overload and short-circuit damage. Protection circuits prevent output voltage overshoot when supply is turned on and off. It provides two separate, independent and isolated power supplies in one small package. Each output has a ten-turn potentiometer for fine adjustment. Convenient meter selection allows the user to read voltage and current of either output. Each output can deliver up to 25 watts. Specifications. Number of output ranges: 1. Output ratings: Output 1; 0 to 25 V, 0 to 1 A. Output 2; 0 to 25 V, 0 to 1 A. Power (max.): 50W. Load and line regulation: 0.01% +2 mV. Ripple and noise: rms 350 µV, peak-to-peak 1.5 mV. Control mode: CV/CL. Resolution: Voltage 10 mV (0-20V), Current 1 mA (100 mA >20 V).

Channel Bandwidth
Channel Bandwidth is the bandwidth over which power is measured. This is usually the bandwidth in which almost all of the power of a signal is contained.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.

Rise Time
Rise time refers to the time required for a signal to change from a specified low value to a specified high value, usually 10 and 90 percent of pulse-top amplitude (vertical display is linear power).
