Keysight (Agilent) WIRESCOPE 350 Handheld Cable Tester

The Agilent WireScope 350 cable tester provides high performance permanent link and channel test probes for UTP, STP, ScTP or coax copper cabling. The Fiber SmartProbes provide certification testing of both multimode and single mode fiber cables while also providing low cost optical power meter and light source functionalities. A bright color touch screen simplifies navigation through menus and improves comprehension of test result data, resulting in faster operation and reduced training times. Setup instruction screens assist the operator when configuring test options, minimizing the chances of inadvertently testing to the wrong limits. All settings can be defined on a PC and downloaded in a single operation, speeding the process of configuring multiple WireScope 350 sets for the same job site testing requirements. Test Parameters; Supported frequency range: 1 to 350 MHz. Accuracy: TIA Level III accuracy. Supported Tests; Near End Crosstalk (NEXT): results displayed in pair to pair and/or PowerSum format. Attenuation (Insertion Loss). Equal Level Far End Crosstalk (ELFEXT). Return Loss. Ambient Noise: plots noise versus frequency. Wire Map: identifies miswires, shorts, opens, reversals and split pairs. Detects shield continuity. Cable Length: measures length of each pair and distance to faults. Propagation Delay: reports total delay and delay skew between pairs. Loop Resistance. Test Standards; TIA/EIA-606-A and TIA/EIA-568-B Cat 3 through 6. ISO/IEC 11801 Class C, D and E. dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
