Keysight (Agilent) 53210A Single-channel, 350 MHz RF Frequency Counter

The Agilent 53210A single-channel, 350 MHz RF frequency counter is optimized to provide fast, precise frequency measurements with a simplified user interface. An optional microwave channel can be added to measure 6 or 15 GHz. Input Channel Characteristics. Channels: Ch 1 Standard (DC - 350 MHz), Ch 2 Optional (6 or 15 GHz). Frequency range DC coupled: DC (1 mHz) to 350 MHz (2.8 ns to 1000 sec). Frequency range AC coupled: 50 ohm or 1 Mohm 10 Hz - 350 MHz. Input range: ±5 V (±50 V) full scale ranges. Sensitivity (typ): 20 mVpk (DC - 100 MHz), 40 mVpk (> 100 MHz). Noise: 500 µVrms (max), 350 µVrms (typ). Input event Threshold levels: ±5 V (±50 V) in 2.5 mV (25 mV) steps. Maximum input 50 ohm damage level: 1 W. Frequency, period (average) measurements Ch 1 or optional Ch 2: 10 digits/s. Frequency, period Range: DC (1 mHz) to 350 MHz (2.8 ns to 1000 s). Gate Source: Time, external. Gate time (step size): 1 ms - 1000 s (10 µs). Trigger source: Internal, external, bus, manual. Timebase reference: Internal, external, or auto. Display: 4.3" Color TFT WQVGA (480 x 272), LED backlight. Average Power
Average power means that the energy transfer rate is to be averaged over many periods of the lowest frequency involved. For a CW signal, the lowest frequency and highest frequency are the same, so average power and power are the same. For an amplitude modulated wave, the power must be averaged over many periods of the modulation component of the signal as well.

Dynamic range
Dynamic range the ratio of a specified maximum level of a parameter, such as power, current, voltage or frequency, to the minimum detectable value of that parameter.

Modulation
Modulation is the process by which the characteristic of one wave (the carrier) is modified by another.

Repeatability
Repeatability is the variation in a number of repeated measured quantities when measurement conditions are changed and restored. The value corresponds to half the spread between the minimum and maximum value measured.
