Keysight (Agilent) U2723A 20V/120mA USB Modular Source Measure Unit

The Agilent U2723A USB Modular Source Measure Unit is an expanded version of the standard U2722A USB Modular Source Measure Unit. It includes embedded test scripts that will simplify automated testing with up to two test scripts per channel. The 3-channel 20V/120mA module can operate in a 4-quadrant operation. The channels could be connected in series or in parallel to achieve up to 60 V/360 mA. It uses the common non-proprietary standard high-speed USB 2.0 interface that provides ease of connectivity - allowing users to set up and configure their tests swiftly with its plug and play feature. Specifications. Number of outputs: 3. Voltage Output: –20 V to 20 V. Current Output: –120 mA to 120 mA. Voltage programming Ranges: ±2 V, ±20 V. Voltage programming Max Resolution: 0.1 mV. Current programming Ranges: ±1 µA, ±10 µA, ±100 µA, ±1 mA, ±10 mA, ±120 mA. Current programming Max Resolution: 100 pA. Voltage readback Ranges: ±2 V, ±20 V. Voltage readback Max Resolution: 0.1 mV. Current readback Ranges: ±1 µA, ±10 µA, ±100 µA, ±1 mA, ±10 mA, ±120 mA. Current readback Max Resolution: 100 pA. Remote sense operating range: Ensure that the maximum voltage between the OUTPUT+ and SENSE+, OUTPUT–, and SENSE– does not exceed 3 V. Temperature coefficient: Maximum change in output/readback per °C after a 30-minute warm-up is 0.15. Guard output resistance: 0.2 kohm. Noise 10 Hz to 20 MHz (peak-peak): 100 mV typical into a resistive load (floating mode). Output voltage overshoot, ±(% of output + offset): During turn-on or turn-off, the output plus overshoot < 0.1% + 10 mV. Programming language: SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments). Maximum sense lead resistance: 1 M-ohm for rated accuracy.

Channel Bandwidth
Channel Bandwidth is the bandwidth over which power is measured. This is usually the bandwidth in which almost all of the power of a signal is contained.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.

Rise Time
Rise time refers to the time required for a signal to change from a specified low value to a specified high value, usually 10 and 90 percent of pulse-top amplitude (vertical display is linear power).
