Keysight (Agilent) 54845A 4 Ch 1.5 GHz Infiniium Oscilloscope

The Agilent 54845A 4 Ch 1.5 GHz Infiniium Oscilloscope combines a simple, analog-like front panel, a familiar Windows-based graphical user interface, and a built-in information system. Dedicated scale and offset knobs for each vertical channel, color coded with the waveform colors, provide intuitive scope operation. Backlit LEDs on the front panel show at a glance how the scope is set up. A single QuickMeas button gives you four of your favorite measurements with statistics at the push of a button. Infiniium’s built-in information system puts measurement assistance at your fingertips. A Setup Guide walks you step-by-step through making more than 20 common complex measurements like jitter and runt triggering. In addition, context-sensitive help is available to define all features available in the Windows dialog boxes. In addition to the standard trigger modes such as edge, glitch, pattern, state, delay, video and line, Agilent’s violation trigger adds capabilities such as runt trigger, setup/hold time trigger, pulse width trigger, and transition trigger to capture those elusive violations. And, Infiniium’s graphical dialog boxes make it easy to set up advanced trigger conditions. Specifications. Bandwidth: 1.5 GHz. Channels: 4. Sample Rate: 2 ch. mode: 8 GSa/s | 4 ch. mode: 4 GSa/s. Channel Bandwidth
Channel Bandwidth is the bandwidth over which power is measured. This is usually the bandwidth in which almost all of the power of a signal is contained.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.

Rise Time
Rise time refers to the time required for a signal to change from a specified low value to a specified high value, usually 10 and 90 percent of pulse-top amplitude (vertical display is linear power).
