Compact Tunable Laser Source Module for use with Agilent 8163A/B Lightwave Multimeter, Agilent 8164A/B Lightwave Measurement System, and Agilent 8166A/B Lightwave Multichannel System. Wavelength Range: 1525 nm to 1575 nm. Wavelength resolution: 0.01 nm, 1.25 GHz at 1550 nm. Tuning speed (typical): < 10 sec / 50 nm. Absolute wavelength accuracy: ± 0.3 nm. Relative wavelength accuracy: ± 0.15 nm. Wavelength repeatability: ± 0.05 nm. Wavelength stability: ± 0.01 nm (typ. 24 hrs at constant temperature). Output power (continuous power on during tuning): = 10 dBm (1525 - 1575 nm). Minimum output power: 0 dBm

Polarization Dependent Loss is the difference between the maximum and minimum values of loss due to the variation of the polarization states of light propagating through a device. PDL is expressed in decibels. Calculated by; PDL = 10 log10 (Ep/Es), where EP and ES are the measured diffraction efficiencies for P- and S-plane polarized incident light, respectively.

Return Loss (RL)
Return Loss (RL) is the ratio of the incident power to the reflected power expressed in dB. RL = 10log (Pin/Pback)

Wavelength Resolution
Wavelength Resolution is the smallest possible displayed wavelength increment/decrement.
