Keysight (Agilent) 85025B 26.5 GHz Coaxial AC/DC Detector

The HP 85025B 26.5 GHz detector is designed specifically for operation with the HP 8757 scalar network analyzer and are not compatible with either the HP 8756 or the 8755. The HP 85025B detector detects either a modulated (ac) or an unmodulated (dc) microwave signal. Specifications. Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz. Connector Type: 3.5 mm (m). Dynamic Range: +16 to –55 dBm (ac mode), +16 to –50 dBm (dc mode). Return Loss: 10 dB (0.01 to 0.04 GHz), 20 db (0.04 to 4 GHz), 17 dB (4 to 18 GHz), 12 dB (18 to 26.5 GHz). Frequency Responce: ±0.8 dB (0.01 to 0.04 GHz), ±0.5 dB (0.04 to 4 GHz), ±0.5 dB (4 to 18 GHz), ±2.0 dB (18 to 26.5 GHz). Power (at 50 Mhz): 16 dB (0.01 to 0.04 GHz), 6 db (0.04 to 4 GHz), -35 dB (4 to 18 GHz), -50 dB (18 to 26.5 GHz). Averaging
Averaging is a mathematical process to reduce the variation in a measurement by summing the data points from multiple measurements and dividing by the number of points summed.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
