Clipping
Clipping is the limiting of a signal so that it never exceeds some threshold.

Modulation
Modulation is the coding of information onto the carrier frequency. This includes amplitude, frequency, or phase modulation techniques.

Sensitivity
Sensitivity is the smallest signal that can reliably detected. Sensitivity specifies the strength of the smallest signal at the input that causes the output signal power to be M times the output noise power where M must be specified. M=1 is very popular
