The HP 8921A Cell Site Test Set is a portable, integrated solution for the in sta llation and maintenance of AMPS cell sites. The HP 8921A incorporates more than twenty instruments. Including: AM/FM Signal Generator, AM/FM Modulation Analyzer, Duplex Offset Generator, RF Power Meter, RF Frequency Counter/ Frequency Error Meter, SSB Demodulator, Audio Frequency Counter, AF Power Meter, ac/dc Voltmeter, SINAD/Distortion Meter, Two Variable AF Generators, Digital Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer and Tracking Generator, Signaling Encoder/Decoder and a dc Current Meter. Specifications. Signal Generator RF Frequency Range: 250 kHz to 1 GHz. Audio Generator Frequency Range: dc to 25 kHz. RF Frequency Measurement range: 400 kHz to 1 GHz. Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR)
Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) is a device for characterizing a fiber wherein an optical pulse is transmitted through the fiber and the resulting backscatter and reflections to the input are measured as a function of time. Useful in estimating attenuation coefficient as a function of distance and identifying defects and other localized losses.
